COVID-19: A new reality

covid-19

Hello all,

It should come as no surprise that the tour with Carolyn and Zoe was cancelled. Thank you so much to Tim, Armando, and Russell for being open to hosting. Even though the tour was at the front end of the COVID-19 shutdowns, we ultimately decided that the safest thing to do was to not put audiences in smaller spaces, and to recommend that people stay home instead. This was a huge disappointment for all of us, but we hope everyone is staying safe.

Florida just began its stay-at-home order today, April 3rd, and I am trying to make the most of the quarantine. I am reading some great books, finishing the semester at UM via online classes, cleaning a LOT (which is, surprisingly, the most exercise I have gotten) writing some music, and teaching some lessons via Zoom to some friends who are trying to pick up an instrument during the quarantine. I am lucky to not be sick (as far as I know — I flew home from Boston three weeks ago and have had no symptoms whatsoever).

If you are trying to avoid severe boredom, feel free to email me to take a lesson, talk about production, or methods for staying productive and engaged during the quarantine.

Please take care of yourselves, stay positive, and do your part to flatten the curve!!!

Much love,

Max
