I’m very excited to return to the Maine Beer She I’m very excited to return to the Maine Beer Shed tomorrow with the fabulous Sam Stage! We play 4-7, and then hopefully catch the end of the Seagrass Festival at @mainecraftdistilling in Portland on the ride home. If you’re within spitting distance of Kingfield, we hope to see you tomorrow!!!
I’m normally not one for personal IG announcemen I’m normally not one for personal IG announcements, but I thought it proper to put something out now that I am a resident of Jamaica Plain, MA! I feel fortunate to have already met so many great folks here over the summer and I look forward to meeting more.

For those of you who were unaware, my last year in Miami was rough — in the first week of the school year in 2021, my partner and I were involved in a car accident that left me unable to play for some time, and limited me to mostly teaching for about six months. Now a full year removed from the accident, I feel that my relationship with music has been renewed, as well as my gratitude for the people who helped me through what was undoubtedly one of the more difficult periods of my life. To my friends in Miami and elsewhere and to my family: thank you for helping me get through the year.

I am also feeling very grateful to be teaching at three locations this fall: Fusion Academy in Newton, the Instrumental Music School of Concord-Carlisle, and the Jewish Community Center of Greater Boston.

Although I am slated to be busy most school days, I am eager and available to play gigs, work on recording projects and teach private lessons, or just to hang out and play some tunes. My website now has most of the recordings I’ve been a part of if anyone is interested.

Also, to those I have not responded to during the past few months, I am terribly sorry, and I hope you can understand what a time it has been. If you’d still like to get in touch with me, feel free to message me on FB, by email, or through the contact form on my website, which was recently redone (maxschwartzmusic.com).
