Everwild
A Miami-based sextet comprised of flute, clarinet, saxophone, violin, cello, guitar, and banjo.
Max Schwartz Jazz Trio/Quartet/Quintet
After being involved in a car accident in August of 2021, bassist and composer Max Schwartz recently returned from a six-month bandleading hiatus with a load of new jazz compositions that were recorded on his first show back, March 24, 2022, and will be released as a live record. The new set of tunes showcases a shift in Schwartz’s artistic direction, focused on combining his love of folk and Americana melodies with more pensive harmonies and textures.
Max is currently booking a Jazz Quartet tour of New England starting July 17 through August 6, featuring guitarist Tim Watson (Miami), drummer Pele Greenberg (NYC), and woodwind artist Adam Cordero (NYC).
As a jazz bassist, Max has performed at the Grammy Awards, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the Monterey Jazz Festival. Max has performed with contemporary jazz luminaries such as John Daversa, Hubert Lawes, Melissa Aldana, Shelly Berg, Ravi Coltrane, and Terri Lyne Carrington.

The Max Schwartz Band
The Max Schwartz Band is Max’s primary songwriting and bandleading exploit in the acoustic/bluegrass domain.
The band features Max’s longtime collaborator Carolyn Kendrick, a singer-songwriter and producer from Nashville on fiddle; Tim Watson, a Miami-based guitarist and improvised-music composer, and Max’s bandmate from the Stamps Jazz Quintet at the University of Miami; Pele Greenberg, a drummer, guitarist, and songwriter who plays jazz, pop, or folk tunes on any night in New York; and Noah Harrington, a Boston-based bassist (try saying that three times), recording artist and composer who appeared last year with his group, Noah y Maurizio’s Acoustic Nomads.

Stamps Jazz Quintet (2017-2021)
The Stamps Jazz Quintet is a unique ensemble at the Frost School of Music. Through the generosity of the Stamps Scholars Program, five exceptional young artists of the highest caliber are selected every four years for this group. Together, these students form a working jazz quintet for the length of their tenure at the Frost School of Music. Mentored by Dr. Chuck Bergeron and other Studio Music and Jazz faculty, the Stamps Jazz Quintet has performed both nationally and internationally. They have represented Frost at conferences and festivals across America. Additionally, the Stamps Jazz Quintets have recorded and produced albums of original music that are commercially available.
